Janeil Page read some of her poems and talked with me about writing poetry in her office at Illinois Central College back on March 22, 2011.  By the way, another reading of her poem "On Loss" is available at http://www.ncte.org/tyca/poetrymonth.  That one is actually a cleaner recording of it, but here, you get to hear her discuss what she's doing there.  I hope you enjoy her poetry as much as I do.

On the morning of St. Patrick's Day, 2011, Norm Kelly and I sat in the dining room of his house in Peoria, Illinois and talked about his career as a crime writer.  This former private investigator has written a lot of fictional crime stories and accounts of real crimes in the Peoria area.  Of particular interest to me is his book Shadow of a Nightmare, about the Crabb family murder case back in the 1930s in Delavan, Illinois, where I live.
