Jannett Highfill took the time to talk to me in her office at Bradley University, where she is a Professor of Economics.  We talked about the connection between her job as an economist and her vocation as a poet.  And she read some poetry from her new chapbook Light Blessings Drifting Together.  We met there on Feb. 9, 2012.

I talked with Debra Collett at the Tazewell County Emergency Management Office, where she works (our conversation was not during work hours, I might add) on Jan. 17, 2012.  We discussed her poetry, her wildly energetic performances, the Peoria area writing scene, and among other things, her two books of poetry Well-Behaved Sociopath and Spangled Star Banter.
